It was built around 2000 when the historic police station moved to another location in the town and is approximately 1500m² and mostly around 6 to 10m high. The retail, storage, goods in are single storey and the office block is 2 storey. The building is a masonry cavity wall construction, with a blockwork inner leaf and brickwork outer leaf. The roof consists of flat profiled metal sheets, likely incorporating insulated sandwich panels. The roof perimeter is formed by mansard-style parapets with slate-hung external finishes.
