RESOLVED That the change of salary to recognise the organisation changes and the honorarium arrangements during the absence of the Director of Resources, recognising the additional contribution made by the Head of Financial Services, be approved.
Having convened in private session under the terms of Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Committee considered an exempt report by the Assistant Chief Executive on a proposed change of salary to recognise the additional responsibilities undertaken by the Head of Financial Services and an honorarium payment for undertaking the role of Interim Director of Resources covering the absence of the Director of Resources. The Assistant Chief Executive highlighted the active part that the Head of Financial Services had undertaken within the Senior Leadership Team, fulfilling the role through challenging times. Councillors noted that the honorarium payment was to reflect those responsibilities for a short-term basis noting any increase on salary spinal point was to reflect the additional duties that were undertaken on a permanent basis. Moved by Councillor Paul Miller; Seconded by Councillor Di Clements The vote, undertaken by way of a roll-call, was carried. The votes were recorded as follows: For: Councillors Elwyn Morse, Tessa Hodgson, Di Clements, Jacob Williams and Paul Miller [5] There were No votes against and No abstentions. RESOLVED That the change of salary to recognise the organisation changes and the honorarium arrangements during the absence of the Director of Resources, recognising the additional contribution made by the Head of Financial Services, be approved.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
