There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Morris asked: Can Members be assured that the Alleged Potential PCB Contamination at the former Monsanto Site and the Gleblands. Is not a health risk to local residents. Councillor Forsey responded: The former Monsanto/Glebelands area has been investigated and risk assessed, with action taken where required. This includes entries on the Council’s Contaminated Land Register, remediation where needed, and planning controls for later development, including the school site. Based on the records available and the controls in place, the Council is not aware of any current health risk to local residents.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
