There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Fouweather asked: I understand that the cables that support the gondolier on the transporter bridge need to be replace. So that cars can be carried across. However, I have been informed that CADW won’t allow the full replacement and therefore it is highly likely that card will never be able to use the bridge again. Can the cabinet member confirm that this is the case. Councillor Stowell-Corten responded: This is not correct. No decision has been made in respect of the hauling cables. Officers have advised that informal discussions have been held with Cadw and they are not against the replacement of the cable if it is required. The intention remains for the gondola to be accessible to vehicles once the refurbishment is complete.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
