There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Fouweather asked: At present motorists can drive in bus lanes at certain times of the day without fear of fines or prosecution. This helps to reduce congestion. Can the cabinet member tell me if there are any plans to introduce full time bus lanes and the installation of cameras to fine motorists in all current and future bus lanes across the city. Councillor R Howells responded: Any increase, decrease or amendments the times of bus lane restrictions would be subject to a traffic order and would be advertised in the normal way. Any enforcement either by police, council officers or cameras, would not impact any person driving legally.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
