There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Reeks asked: The new Visitor Centre for the Transporter Bridge has been beset with delays since last year and is still not open; can the Cabinet Member confirm when the centre is due to open please and also that the council will not be liable for any further costs that may have arisen due to the delays in finishing the works? Councillor Stowell-Corten responded: The delivery of a new Visitor Centre has visibly progressed on site with the building itself nearing completion. It was great to see the link installed between the footbridge and the visitor centre a few weeks ago. External landscaping work is next to be completed. Officers have advised that no additional costs for the visitor centre are expected. We look forward to sharing the opening date for the visitor centre after the General Election.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
