There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Fouweather asked: Can the cabinet member tell me whether there are any plans to introduce congestion or road charging in Newport as the Welsh government has said that it is acceptable to use any monies from this to improve public transport? If it is your intention not to introduce congestion or road charging in Newport, where will you find the additional funds to improve and make accessible a public bus service in Newport? Councillor R Howells responded: There are no plans introduce congestion or road charging in Newport.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
