There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Councillor Reeks asked: As part of my verbal question to Council on 23 of April I pointed out that the Newport City Council’s Toilet Strategy was out of date and had not been reviewed in line with Welsh Governments guidelines, and asked why this was so. This question was not answered during your response, so please can you clarify why the Toilet Strategy is out of date on the website and why it has not apparently been reviewed in line with Welsh Government timescales? Councillor Batrouni provided a response: The toilet strategy has been reviewed and updated and it is anticipated that this work will be completed by the end of June.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
