Councillor Townsend asked: Can the leader of the council provide an update of her ongoing discussions on the future of the former Admiral Insurance site on Queensway? Councillor Mudd responded: Admiral House is privately owned. Senior officers meet with representatives of the Admiral Group on a monthly basis and provide regular updates on the latest position.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
