Presented by Cllr A Barry No questions were raised. Comments; Cllr D Hughes: Would like to assure the community that everything has been done to reach the figure in the report thanks to the hard work of officers and councillors. Unfortunately, we would be able to reduce our council tax if NRW granted a permit that we have waited for for 4 years. I am aggrieved about raising the figure however, I know this is the best figure under the circumastances. Thank you again for all the hard work of the officers. Cllr M Jones: Would like to reiterate the comments of Cllr A Barry and D Hughes and offer support. I would like to extend thanks to all officers for their hard work under pressure. Cllr G Thomas: This has been the hardest budget setting process due to pressures. Our figure is below the Welsh average and I would like to thank you all for your work. The following recommendations as contained within the report be approved; 2.1 The Council Tax increase of 4.7% for 2023/24 (‘Band D’ of £1,828.34) for the County Borough Council be recommended to Council for approval. 2.2 The Budget Requirement of £152.654 million for 2023/24 (net revenue budget) be recommended to Council for approval. 2.3 The Medium Term Financial Plan 2023/24 to 2026/27 be recommended to Council for approval.
No questions were raised The following recommendations were approved; 2.1 The procurement of legal services support, be approved. 2.2 The revenue budget requirement once confirmed, be approved.
