RESOLVED: That the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item as this was considered to contain exempt information by virtue of paragraph 14 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
The Chairman welcomed the applicant to the meeting. He introduced the Sub-Committee Members and Council officers and explained the procedure for the hearing, including how the application would be determined.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
