RESOLVED that the minutes of the PSB meeting held on the 20th January, 2026 be received.
The Committee considered the minutes of the meeting of the Carmarthenshire Public Services Board [PSB] held on the 20th January, 2026. The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 required that a designated local government scrutiny committee was appointed to scrutinise the work of the PSB. In Carmarthenshire, the Council’s Corporate Performance & Resources Scrutiny Committee has been designated as the relevant scrutiny committee. The Committee noted that Councillor Linda Evans had been duly elected as Chair of the Public Services Board following the resignation of Councillor Darren Price. It was reported that Pembrokeshire Public Services Board would remain unchanged, whilst Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion Public Services Boards were progressing towards integration, with arrangements expected to be in place by the end of the year. Members emphasised the importance of clearly demonstrating impact and partnership working and requested that the Public Services Board’s Terms of Reference and objectives be provided for scrutiny. RESOLVED that the minutes of the PSB meeting held on the 20th January, 2026 be received.

Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
