RESOLVED that the report be noted.
The Committee considered the Planning Appeals Report which provided information relating to lodged planning appeals as at 2nd March, 2026. The Senior Development & Enforcement Manager advised the Committee that only one appeal had been determined since the last meeting. This had been dismissed, however there was a partial award of costs against the Authority. The partial award of cost was due to a compensatory planting of trees being misdescribed in the reason for refusal. RESOLVED that the report be noted.
RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on the 12th February, 2026 be signed as a correct record.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
