RESOLVED that the Local Lettings Policy (LLP) for the Stori site at Nant y Dderwen for 3 x 2 bedroom houses and 5 x 3 bedroom houses be approved.
The Cabinet Member considered a report to approve a Local Lettings Policy (LLP) for an existing site at Nant y Dderwen, Drefach, Carmarthenshire. The Cabinet Member noted that an LLP would be used for Nant Y Dderwen, Drefach, as an adjustment to the Authority’s main lettings policy where specific additional criteria would apply to take account of current housing need and local issues. This would ensure that the Authority provided accommodation solutions for local people in most need, and would meet the objective to move people on quickly from temporary accommodation and back to their community, helping to create a sustainable community. The Drefach site was located within the ward of Gorslas and would deliver 8 social rented homes:- · 3 x 2 Bedroom Houses; and · 5 x 3 bedroom Houses The Senior Housing Manager advised that the local members for the site, namely Councillors Darren Price and Aled Vaughan Owen had expressed support for the proposal on the basis of a fair lettings criteria and the RSL Partnership Board had no objection.
