The Cabinet Member considered applications received for Local Authority Governor vacancies within the county. Nominations had been invited from the Chairperson, Head teacher and Local Member(s) in the case of Primary Schools/ the member(s) who were governors in the case of Secondary Schools. It was noted that Local Authority Governors are appointed for 4 years. In addition to the vacancies listed in the report occurring as a result of an individual’s term of office coming to an end, the Cabinet Member was advised that the vacancy for Ysgol Y Castell was a result of Mrs J. Gilasbey’s current term of office coming to an end in April 2025 and she was therefore seeking reappointment. RESOLVED that: 3.1 in order to meet statutory obligations for filling vacancies on Governing Bodies and having considered the applications received, the following appointments be made to vacancies for Local Authority Governors:- Primary School Appointments Brynsaron (1 Vacancy– 1 nomination) Mr. R. Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
Lists the council's current councillors only. Co-opted members, officers and former councillors aren't shown.
