(NOTE: Following the committee retiring into private session, Cllr Jean Lewis having become aware of a link with the applicants wife declared an interest and left the Council Chamber and took no part in its consideration) The Committee considered an application from Mr Gary Paul Evans of 18 Parc Gwyn, Trevaughan, Carmarthen for the grant of a hackney carriage/private hire dual driver’s licence. Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
