The Cabinet Member received a report for approval of arrangements for the UK and Welsh Government's Local Growth Fund (LGF) 2026/2029. As per the report, the LGF is one of the successor programmes to previous EU funding arrangements and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UK SPF). The new programme, led by the Welsh Government, has been designed on eligible elements of the previous UK SPF delivery arrangements. The regional 'anchor project' approach would continue to be used, although narrower in scope across three proposed regional projects, in line with the LGF themes: · Supporting Business. · Local Economic Infrastructure. · Skills and Employability.
