The Committee was provided with an update on complaints made against Members of Cardiff Council or any of Cardiff’s Community Councils alleging a breach of the Members’ Code of Conduct, in particular, complaints notified to the Monitoring Officer during Quarters 3 and 4 of 2025/26 (the period from 1st October 2025 to 31st March 2026). The Chair invited questions and comments from Members. Cllr Wood drew attention to the number of complaints that were not investigated and asked whether guidance should be refreshed on when it was appropriate to submit a complaint in certain circumstances.
