Cardiff declared a Human Rights City
Council carried the motion as amended by 51 votes to 1 (Cllr Ali), with 9 abstentions. It declares Cardiff a Human Rights City and commits the council to set up a Human Rights Taskforce within six months. It will use Human Rights Impact Assessments in decisions and run a public awareness campaign. It also instructs the Chief Executive to report to Full Council each year on progress.
