The committee looked at three items: how the Council measures and compares its performance, progress on the new Oracle Fusion finance and HR system, and the month 4 budget position for 2026/27. On each item it agreed that the Chairperson will write to the Cabinet Member with the committee's observations and recommendations. It held a briefing on the Council's relationship with Stonewall and agreed next steps for that review. It approved the draft Scrutiny Annual Report 2025/26 for Full Council on 16 July 2026.
The committee scrutinised the 2025/26 budget outturn before Cabinet considers it on 18 June 2026. It agreed that the Chair will write to the Cabinet Member with its observations and recommendations. It also noted its committee business papers and the way forward for its 2026/27 work programme, with a final programme due back in September 2026.
The Policy Review and Performance Scrutiny Committee met on 15 April 2026 to scrutinise two items: a progress report on Central Transport Services, including fleet management, and progress on the Workforce Strategy 2023-27. For both, the Committee agreed that the Chairperson will write to the relevant Cabinet Member with its observations and recommendations. The Committee also agreed to cancel its meeting planned for 6 May 2026.
